Rose is a Candor girl who has always known what was happening and how people felt about each other. She knew that Divergents were only a myth and that she belonged in Candor.
Until her aptitude test.
When she finds out that she's divergent, a Candor/Dauntless/Erudite divergent to be exact, she must decide how to live the rest of her life. Can she stay with her family, or must she find a new destiny?
She faces many challenges, but the biggest one comes when she meets a boy who can make her feel nervous and self conscious, which is unlike her? She has no idea what to make of this situation. Will she figure out what to do, or will she push him out?
During her journey, she finds out what she is capable of, and that every Rose has its Thorns.

{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
