{PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS TOXIC AGONY}

Christina thought that changing her hair color was a good enough disguise when she traveled to Germany to discover secrets of her past, but HYDRA found her.

She had been trained thoroughly on what to do and what to say when kidnapped, and she was completely level headed. But nothing could have prepared her for what was in store for her.

Familiar faces arise. Faces of people believed to be deceased. She felt disgusted at how HYDRA had changed the people she'd known for years.

But that wasn't the only thing that was hard to believe. She was changing. As her time as a hostage continues, the Super-Soldier serum causes Christina to go through a metamorphosis.

Christina is scared and hungry and in pain and lost. These things are the least of her worries.

"Come at me like a real man, or does your religion not allow you to spill blood?" She laughed and further lowered her lips to his ear, whispering, "You're weak and pathetic Captain." *** She was rather irritating, but had a disposition for sarcasm and wit. Fuelled by rage and past pain, one has to cover the obviousness with a bit of humour. Audrey Cecilia Embers, was a broken Christian mystery wrapped in misery. Stealing paintings was her signature style of a message to her competitors, or was it a hobby? Whatever she made it into, the objective is what will be her downfall, getting herself in a bigger mess and ending up in one of SHIELD's jails. The sweet smell of betrayal will be the outcome of this disaster, and she knows who played her. But before she can get some justice, her life spirals into a crazier direction when one family member comes back to haunt her to her grave. Amongst the mess, the assassin is faced with a difficult decision, and not only that, but she meets Captain America himself. He was a soldier in a general sense. He was regal, tall, strong-even handsome. And a gentleman. He followed the law where she broke it. He dotted his I's and crossed his T's where she wouldn't have cared. But when Audrey meets the golden boy, she doesn't like him. He's too gentle, too much about saving people, and very...patriotic. It will have to be up to her whether she can untangle the mess she got herself into or not. | completed book Cover: my own
