Makoto Naegi stands looking out to sea, his eyes cloudy with tears as he leaves the 3rd killing game minus his closest friend Kyoko Kirigiri, his world is turned upside down whilst the future foundation HQ lies in a pile of rubble in his rear view mirror, however his world will be uprighted after nothing short of a miracle that cuts short his mourning, and would change his life once again.
Together with his friends, they must combat the last remaining shreds of despair caused by the truly deceased Junko Enoshima and rebuild the beacon of hope, ground zero for the killing games, Hopes Peak Academy.
However it won't be plain sailing for the foundation as a new sinister evil rears its head from the shadows...
