Tired of being locked away at home, Layla escapes to Maple City, where everyone has a 'Phenomena' (gifted ability), in search of a refuge from the Human Domain. The Order of Abundant Restoration is after her because of her twisted, lethal ability, and no one knows if Layla will die, or become a slave to the Humans' tyrannical government. It has been long since Layla has been able to make friends because of her power that makes her a killing machine.
Layla barely passes the interview to become the sixth member of the Anomaly Case Investigation Centre, to solve dangerous cases involving the Order of Abundant Restoration. At first, everyone seems to despise her, until a calamitous crisis breaks out in Maple City after a tournament, forcing Layla into a dilemma between her ideals and her humanity.
