21st Century African American Folklore. Supernatural breakdown or explanation of what I struggled to understand. Told from the POV of an oppressed black woman gaslit by her own reality. In the story the writer refers to the main character as "She" and "Me". This is a direct colloquialism of the identity crisis we all face as melanated queens. I also wanted to paint the reality of mental health awareness in the black community and lack of resources there of.
