Book 1 in the Blood Series (Under construction and editing) Prologue The full moon lurked over a town called Raven-wood Hills. This was a type of nightmare humans called The Dead Night. No one came out after dark when a full moon raked over the town. This night had been initiated in the early centuries when the pack entered the town. She had to be a Siren crossed breed, the man said. An evil temptress on land, the only horror that walked this earth. He warned the town. "Do not tempt and belittle the Alpha of the werewolves for, you will be placed under a spell of fear and death of this Siren Demon."

After school one-day things go from bad to worse. The dead are rising and the world is falling. Thankfully, the Markson family is prepared in weaponry and skill. Zoe sharpens her throwing knives, Carl pulls a banshee bat out of no where, her father polishes the guns, and her mother slows them down. This tale celebrates human frailty. Between the blood and guts there is family and sacrifices. There is evil and there is insanity. The past comes back to haunt, and the future looks bleak. But is there hope?

Sweat trailed down her back as she ran with all her might. Blood slowly flowed out the long cut in her thigh. Loud snarls could be heard from behind her as the inhuman beings chased her with unimaginable speed. She couldn't scream, she was afraid and no one could help her. All she could do was cry. She bared the pain shooting through her limbs. Thick darkness surrounded her under the moonless sky and she found herself tumbling down a hill. She felt a snap and hit her head as she rolled to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Everywhere hurt. She tried moving but couldn't bare it. She cried more and groaned as her life flashed before her eyes. Then, everywhere was suddenly quiet. She breathed hard in fear. Just when she started getting a little hope, something sharply dug its fingers into her hand and a loud deafening shriek was heard, followed by an ear piercing scream...

All Sarah wanted was a cry in private after her wedding was called off. Instead, she finds her co-worker rising from the bathroom stall - with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. ~~~ Sarah had locked herself in the office bathroom, sobbing after her fiancé, Mark called off the wedding. Through her tears, she heard strange groans coming from the next stall. "Ugh, someone has food poisoning," she thought. But when the stall door swung open, the slouched figure that emerged was not sick-it was dead, with lifeless eyes and decaying flesh. Sarah opened her mouth to scream just as the infected co-worker lunged at her. She was trapped, as the entire office went into lockdown due to a zombie outbreak. There would be no easy escape from the horror that was breaking out in Manhattan.

Two girls are popular in the town they grew up in. They knew absolutely everyone and were helpful to those who needed it. They had a good heart overall. One day, they woke up and the town seems to be deserted. Where did everyone go? What happened to everyone?

'I turned around and saw a creeper standing directly behind me, tilting his head to take a bite of my neck. It's breath was putrid, their crooked teeth stained orange from the feeding of animals. I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye. Blood pooled out of its socket as it fell to the ground.' Arizona is living in a world of ruin and wreckage in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It seems there is no hope for having a normal family someday. People she loves are dying left and right and she doesn't know what to do as they are consumed by the virus. Until her life turns around for the better when she encounters somebody in the forest. The world crumbles down around her, will she ever come out of the rubble alive? I grab the note, while lowering my gun. I look up only to find the man gone. I unfold the paper. It's hard to make out the words in red ink with the dim lighting of the sewer tunnel. Eventually, I'm able to decipher, "34.0522' N, 118.2437' W". Coordinates. At the bottom of the note, scribbled out in black in, there's one phrase.
