They thought she was a mute, that she didn't have the ability to talk, or she was just plain out odd. Her hand was never up in class and her lips never moved. They laughed in her face when she tried out for the play, but she was still determined to tell them that she wasn't the dumb girl they thought she was. 

Jessica Keegan though there was no hope left for her to be normal. She thought she could never change, so she tried to hide herself from the world. She thought that because she had a difficult time talking that her talents were useless. But that all changed. Her school's Spring Talent Show is what every student wants to win, especially if your talent is related to music. When Jessica gets enough courage to try out, she rocks the audition. But she quickly gets stuck with an opportunity that could change her life forever.
