She ends up befriending all the other gym leaders and people of Galar who wish to protect her and Raihan. Through all this they learn that there are 8 gaurdian dragons for each of the 8 regions though when the Tapu took over beng Alola's gauridans, the dragon that gaurded that region disappered. Ghetsis seeks the 8 legendary gauridans and needs two dragons that rule over all to find them. Partial Dragon transformations are in the story, just wings and few other things but they do not fully transform, they are what you call a human/dragon hybrid.
