Vikings versus Vampires. Recently review at an anthology workshop where all of the editors thought it was a great story that would sell, except for the first few paragraphs making everyone think it was zombies. Those paragraphs changed, and decided to put it out for free.

My Brother My Mate
"I set a alarm for a twelve o'clock so I could be the first one tell you happy birthday... happy birthday." I'm seventeen now. I turned the complete opposite direction from James, avoiding any eye contact or touch. "You knew." His voice suddenly sounded like a country love song to my ears. Everything's different. The smell of Cinnamon and Chocolate chip cookies fill my nose. My wolf already knows, and she's scratching at my insides to get to him, but I want cement to cover my feet and hold me here, forever. All werewolves have mates. So what happens when you fall for someone before you're 18... "Hopefully hes my mate" is all Markie can think as she waits for her 18th. This is a short story that takes place in the middle of "Orphan Wolf". It can be read independently but will have spoilers if you intend to read "Orphan Wolf"... I of course would suggest you read it and pause at the point I marked to read "Markie" but the choice is yours. Story excerpt "Come on Ryan leave me alone!" A boy yells. "You started it Francis... come on pup don't start that with me... I don't have time for this! GO HOME!" I felt the command. I see the little 8 year old boy from last night run away crying, one of Ruby's cousins. When I turn the corner I see a boy about 20 and am hit with an overpowering smell something like fresh cut wood and autumn leaves. It is amazing. I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" "The one you want isn't mate. He isn't yours. He isn't interested... I want mate!" "No." I block her out and climb down the tree.Tamamlanmış Hikaye
The Great War
The year is 1000 A.D, you follow the story of two brothers born in a small kingdom in all of mankind named the Kingdom of Elvon both of the brothers immortal due to their souls changing turning them into powerful beings who will hopefully end the war for good. Or make it worse. Planet Earth was never the way it used to be in the past for it is shared to by seven factions, Humans, Demons, Undead, Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, and Monsters. They were all powerful factions but then one day a Great War had happened between all of the factions. It was bloody, chaotic and destructive the Kingdom of Elvon died and crumble to the ground and the brothers are the last ones alive. Will they live or die? Will they make the war worse or end it? Two brothers learn who each other really are while on an adventure. Who will be king? Can they stop a civil war? Will they find and accept their mates? Could I suck any worse at descriptions?... probably not. Still, I think you should give the story a chance before you disregard it. Story excerpt: "I don't want to be a king. I've never wanted to be king! You know this, Father. Please..." I beg hoping he has another solution. "I see no other option. Look out the window, Ethan. It hasn't even been an hour, and a crowd has gathered at our doors. What do you want me to do? The people love you. The soldiers respect you. The only members of the clan you need to win over are the stuffed shirts and with what your brother just pulled? You're as good as gold." "You wanted this to happen." I accuse him, and he shrugs. "Want? No. Expect? Yes. Your brother is more concerned with holding his mothers dress than leading his people... but by all means, if you have a plan to make him a worthy ruler, lay it out for me, Captain." Father responds, looking for a battle plan to reign in his own son. "Are you willing to stand up to your mate?" I ask and he shudders before nodding. I've got some work to do.
