Vikings versus Vampires. Recently review at an anthology workshop where all of the editors thought it was a great story that would sell, except for the first few paragraphs making everyone think it was zombies. Those paragraphs changed, and decided to put it out for free.

A tall man has sat in an ally way for hours waiting for the perfect victim to work their way by. When a young stout girl walks by seemingly perfect. He takes his chance and grabs her, but much to his dismay looks can be deceiving. As it turns out this man is actually a vampire and the girl he thought was the perfect victim was actually anemic. Sadly for him he just found out the hard way that anemic blood doesn't taste very good. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" Then things really get complicated. have the strength of bulls, and survive tortures etc. They live underground, their thirst is to kill. Now, the Perez family are in turf war with the other family. They need something to stop the war so they hire Beast to kidnap the other family, and will be used as a pawn to stop the fight and reclaim territory.
