These are poems I wrote that were originally assigned to me for school. But my Uncle is a poet, and It helped me to get into writing poems too. These are reflections of my inner thoughts, experiences, and feelings. This helps me clear my mind and let go of things I can't express easily in a natural way. I'm not sure how much I will be writing in this "book"... But I hope it will be a good amount. I really hope everybody likes my poems, because I really want to share them all with you.

This is My Life
I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! Melancholy Melodies: From Family to Fantasy is my first ever poetry book. It has 3 parts (1. Them, 2. Him, 3. Her) "Them" is a compilation of poetries about my parents, my paternal grandma and my maternal grandpa, my librarian, and my childhood friend who became my bully in middle school.
