In a world where extinct animals found solace beyond mortal reach, a realm of eternal safety and serenity awaited them. This paradise, suspended high above the clouds, mirrored the vastness of outer space, fostering unity and harmony among these exceptional creatures who spoke a single universal language.

Occasionally, through enigmatic and mystical means, a chosen few of these blessed beings descended to our world on precisely seven appointed days. On those rare occasions, we were granted a profound privilege-to listen to the voices of these celestial animals, speaking to us from the heavens. They graciously shared the narratives of their lives and their journeys beyond mortality, providing us with an extraordinary glimpse into their world. We came to intimately know their appearances, concerns, and the hardships they endured. Many people believe that the blind are only those who can't see. They are wrong. Everyone is blind, in one way or another. Blindness comes in many forms. Those who are blind to the evils of the world are blind to reality. Those who are blinded by beauty are consequently blind to the fact that it comes with a price. And those who are blinded by light are also blind to the notion that it is accompanied by shadows. And though I must admit that I, too, was not above being blind. I knew the shadows all too well. My life was lead in the shadow of a wall; I was born shrouded in it, and if it were up to them, I would die the same way as well. The very moment I began to understand the world around me was the same moment it came crashing down. For at that moment, I realized that this wasn't my world. It was theirs. I had previously said that I was not immune to blindness. I knew I was different, but as they say, everybody is different for a reason. But I was blind to the fact that my reason was him. I was blind to the cruel twist of Fate that allowed my captor to become my liberator, and I was blinded again by the same cruel twist of Fate that made my liberator my captor. I was blind to the implications of making a deal quite literally signed in blood, and I was blind to the fact that it would bind me to the life of another for eternity as we knew it. I was born for him. He was born to kill. But, despite being blind to all this, I swore would never be blind to one thing: Though I may wear the Devil's Heart around my neck and His mark on my skin, I will never call myself a vampire's Compeer.

This is the story of a rare werefox. No she is not a normal girl. Nor, a normal fox. And this is no normal story. Astra, a werefox who is believed by all werewolves and rogues to be extinct, is forced out of her home and family. She is thrown out into the snow to fend for herself. After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Many generations past, and humans have evolved with greed. They now refer to themselves as superior, and break the ancient rules. Only kill to survive. Young Snow's pack has become one of the many targets, whereas members were killed every once and a while. Now, Snow's pack was forced to be always on the move, to avoid such an atrocity. Finding enough food during winter was a miracle, but finding a safe home would be a dream.
