Soobin could feel it-that unshakable chill prickling down his spine, tightening his chest with each shadow that lingered just a moment too long, each whisper of movement just out of view. He walked faster, his heart pounding in rhythm with his hurried steps, but no matter how many corners he turned, how many crowds he melted into, there was always the feeling that someone was right behind him. He didn't know when it had started-when Yeonjun had begun appearing in places he shouldn't be, always catching Soobin's eye from across a crowded room or standing under the streetlight just outside his window at night. But there was something in Yeonjun's gaze, a dark intensity that felt almost possessive, as if he knew something Soobin didn't. As if he was playing a game only he understood.

Soobin tried to convince himself it was a coincidence, that he was imagining it, but deep down, he knew better.
