(This is the new version of my previous fanfic of the same name. The story line will be quite different but many of the characters remain the same.)
The end of the world happened so suddenly. A mysterious power brought upon a virus to punish humanity for their sins. With earth's population declining and humans facing extinction, the vampires crawled out of hiding, leaving their underground cities to rescue their food supply.
The vampires blame the humans for causing opening pandora's box and sending the world to it's final moments of existence, but is it truly them who are to blame, or are they merely the means to an end?
After escaping both humans and vampires, Mikaela along with the Shinoa Squad hoped to find peace at last - alas, deep cuts do not simply heal. In their recklessness, they become the prey of a certain vampire who is known to only bring death and destruction.
And so the story continues...
