Stargate Aschen by KimberleyJksn
11 parts Complete Mature
A Science-Fiction/Adventure Romance. In the year 799 (Aschen calender), Earth is a colony under strict reign by an oppressive Aschen government. The Aschen have turned humans into slaves, and seized control over the entire planet, including the Stargate--a device that allows them to form a wormhole and travel thousands of light years across the galaxy to their home planet within seconds. Humanity is at the brink of extinction. Due to advanced Aschen medicine human lifespan has almost tripled, but most of the human population is born infertile. Only a small percent of humans are so-called gifted ones, who are able to conceive/father children. Strict rules apply to these gifted ones, as the Aschen government wants to uphold the human population. Samantha Carter is 25 years old. She has just come of age and undergoes her first fertility tests. When her tests turn out positive, her life is about to take a dramatic turn for the worse. Unwilling to accept a forced marriage and life in a breeding facility under Aschen control, she runs away from home to find the resistance and fight for the freedom of Earth as well as her own. As she meets Jack O'Neill, camp leader of resistance Cell 4, neither of them realizes they are bound together by more than the mutual goal to free Earth from Aschen reign. Side by side, they fight to liberate their world from the oppression of an alien race using a second, secret Stargate found almost a century before in the Antarctica forests... Note: Although this work borrows characters and concepts from the television show Stargate SG-1, this work stands on its own and is independent from the television show.
We Were Stardust Once by rrrick_grimesss
8 parts Ongoing
They were born from the stars, but the world refuses to let them stay. It has been three years since the Genesis Flares, the solar phenomenon that gave birth to Astrans: beings with abilities beyond human comprehension. Some see them as miracles, others as abominations but to those in power, they are a threat that must be controlled, exploited, or eradicated. Fear spreads like wildfire, and war is inevitable. Among the displaced and the hunted, a survivor fights to carve out a future for her people, refusing to let them be erased from history. By her side stands the one who saved her, a sister in all but blood, a friend who has vowed to protect her, even if it means keeping dangerous secrets. As alliances fracture and loyalties are tested, they must navigate a world that has already decided what they are: enemies. In the heart of the conflict, two minds once dedicated to progress now wrestle with the weight of their own creations. One, a scientist bound by failing health, seeks to undo the greatest mistake of his life before time runs out. The other, an engineer thrust unwillingly into war, struggles between duty, regret, and the burden of being the only one left to fight. Lines blur between vengeance and justice, survival and sacrifice. The choices they make will determine not only the outcome of the war but the future of the Astrans themselves. Before the war, before the fear, they were all the same. They were all stardust once.

20 parts Complete
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in a magical world? Well, twenty year old Astra Holister sure as heck hasn't. She didn't believe in magical beings or anything related to that. But one day she finds herself lost in a creek, literally, and has to face a whole lot of magical things. As she was walking in the woods one beautiful day, she stumbles across a creek. Astra let her childish instincts take over and she decides to jump in. And instead of landing on solid ground, she falls through the creek. Little did she know that this creek, along others scattered across Earth, is a portal to this magic world called Morastar. Morastar is a world filled with magic mushrooms, poisonous forests, talking animals, and of course, corrupt monarchies. There are five kingdoms in Morastar, each one ruled by a descendant of the first king. But the kingdom Astra finds herself in is ruled by a horrible tyrant. Everyone thinks he's the best, but that's only because he's brainwashed them. As Astra tries to find her place in this new world, she finds her closest friend, Jake Thurston, a huge help. He helps her through what she needs and tries to sooth her troubles. Astra doesn't know just how much of a good friend Jake is until Leo Chaffman, Astra's best friend and crush from Earth, shows his face in Morastar. Filled with twists and turns and betrayals, Astra ventures on a chaotic journey with confusing feelings. Only question is, will she ever make it home? Or will she be stuck with the tyrant everyone adores and his "evil" brother?

The Ascension

49 parts Complete

When a teenage girl named Aster is instructed by the sky god to join her best friend on a deadly quest, it's a far stretch from normal. As she and her friend, now accompanied by a mysterious thief, journey to reawaken the god of the ocean, Aster learns that the god is already awake- and that he, along with the others, have been watching her since childhood. Swept under the wing of the strange gods of her world, Aster is delivered her apparent destiny: to become a god and rule her own planet. However, before her powers can properly develop, her two friends accidentally awaken an ancient monster bent on destroying the world. Caught between friends, her planet, and her fate, Aster must decide what she wants- godhood or death. Neither is alluring, but whatever her choice, the galaxy is waiting. Sci-fi/fantasy/paranormal adventure mix. Has a very diverse cast. Nice! Also, not as dramatic as it sounds. There is comedy.
