For centuries, mankind has struggled merely to survive, clutching to what little stability remained amidst calamity. Yet, in the waning years, the Ursus Empire sought to transcend limitation. A council of scientists unveiled an experimental machine-the Particle Accelerator. Its purpose was veiled in equal parts ambition and desperation: to harness a boundless new source of energy, or perhaps to forge a weapon that could alter the balance of power across Terra. But their gamble tore a wound in the very fabric of reality. Through the rift they opened, another world was revealed-strange, vast, and untamed. At first, awe overcame fear. Explorers dreamed of conquest, of knowledge, of advancement beyond measure. Then came the shadows. Not men, nor beasts familiar to our lands, but creatures innumerable.
