On a typical day, Hazel found herself caught up in a thrilling series of events that led her astray from her cozy reading nook. It was like watching a clumsy puppy trying to navigate a slippery floor - one little mistake, and her life went topsy-turvy!

Now stuck in a whirlwind of chaos, our dear Hazel faced a big dilemma. Should she try to get back to her old, bookish self, or embrace this crazy twist of fate? With a mix of regret and excitement bubbling up within her, she embarked on a wild journey to mend her blunder and, who knows, stumble upon something amazing along the way.

With every hilarious encounter and unexpected mishap, Hazel discovered the silver linings hidden within her mistake. I heard Jordan groan in frustration before he finally made his way over to me, crouching low so we were face to face. That infuriating, signature smirk curled on his lips-the one he always wore when he thought he had the upper hand. Slowly, deliberately, he leaned in. His face tilted toward mine, his breath brushing against my skin as his mouth hovered just inches away. My breath caught. My heart pounded. And then, without thinking, my fist connected with his face. He stumbled backward, crashing into the edge of the table with a grunt of surprise. ~ Casey Valentine never asked to be in the spotlight. She's just a girl trying to survive her senior year-quiet, clever, a little awkward, and perfectly content staying under the radar. She had a plan: keep her head down, get her grades up, and escape to the future she'd carefully dreamed of. But fate has other ideas. When dangerous secrets start to unravel around her, Casey finds herself tangled in a web of lies, loyalty, and love. Multiple people are after her-and not all of them want to hurt her. Some want to protect her. Some want to claim her. And some... might just want her heart. As tensions rise and the lines between ally and enemy begin to blur, Casey is pulled into a violent, hidden war that she wants no part of. But the real danger doesn't come from guns or grudges-it comes from falling for the very people she's not sure she can trust. ~ Before I Go is a story about love that defies reason and friendship that withstands fire. It's about a girl whose destiny could destroy her-but also save everyone around her. She doesn't know how important she is. Not yet. But she's the key to someone's salvation... And someone's heartbreak. Because not every story ends in happily ever after. Some begin just moments before goodbye.

~some things you just can't speak about.~ // hazel eloise finley's old english and frankly quite pretentious name was never released to public whenever she survived the shooting at her high school. not even after the paramedics took her away with a severe bullet wound to the calf or even whenever she drug and hopped herself outside for medical attention afterwards either. only known as the jane doe that survived a school shooting, and the years of physical therapy, permanent nerve damage and chronic pain proved to be the least of her worries. it took years of therapy, hospitalizations, and prescriptions for her to even feel ready to start college after high school. and whenever she did, much like her name, she was determined to bury it. despite the trauma she went on to become one of the most gifted music majors enrolled at the prestigious university in Nashville, TN, an honors student, a residential advisor, and slowly making her way to the student council someday. Though just coming into her sophomore year, a heavily tattooed literature major transfers into the room across from hers that throws everything off track. Julien Rose Baker infuriated her at first, not only because her friends and roommates were loud and obnoxious and stayed up all hours of the night playing loud music and probably doing anything but studying, but because she was better than her, in every sense of the word. sight reading music without missing a beat or a note, shredding her guitar in nearly every practice room, leaving most professors in awe of her vocal range, and not to mention the writings of hers read during some of the english classes the two shared. it was jealousy at its finest. though whenever an unexpected turn of events leaves hazel almost having no choice but to be vulnerable, something else besides avoiding her dorm neighbor might turn into something else. ~ TW for gun violence, ptsd, anxiety, depression, etc...

"So, let me get this straight. You stomped all over his paperwork?" She started. "Not intentionally, but yes," I confirmed it. "Threw a drink in his face?" She added. "Expensive red wine." I described. "Rammed into his car with yours deliberately?" she counted on her third finger. "Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing. "And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced. "Twice." I specified. "And you're still alive?" She blinked, looking genuinely surprised. "Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement. "Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested. Possible. I wouldn't put it past him. "I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed. "Let's hope that excuse is acceptable.." She was merely amused. "Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." ** Synopsis: When the CEO of Signature Heights: Jensen Black, and a stubborn employee: Alexandra Brook, clash, it's a battle of wits & a war of perseverance. Nolan, an unapproachable guy who ignores the existence of all his schoolmates, sleeps in all of his classes. Normally, this wouldn't be Chelsea Arnold's problem-she does her best to pay attention in class and attends gym like a good, normal student. Unfortunately, she just so happens to be his assigned desk partner in many classes. She's frequently forced to wake him in English class and ends up earning the unofficial title of Nolan's Wake-up Alarm-a title that nobody in the entire school covets. The last thing she wants is to interact with him more than she absolutely has to. One day, their gym teacher sends her to bring him back to class, which he always skips for some reason. When she accidentally shines her flashlight in his sleeping face, it triggers a chain of events that gradually intertwines their lives together. It's hard to be a normal student when you start befriending the school oddball. It doesn't help that he has more secrets than the Big Ben has stairs. ----- Complete.
