He was a creature unlike any other, with green skin, bulging eyes, and a crooked nose. 
Grug lived under a bridge that spanned a fast-flowing river, and he spent his days scaring people and demanding tolls from anyone who dared to cross his bridge.

Grug was not a happy troll. He was lonely, and he longed for someone to talk to, someone who would see past his ugliness and appreciate him for who he was.

Though everyone saw her as a weak helpless princess that needs to be protected, and hidden from the cruel world she desperately wants to see with her blue eyes. A witch shows up one late after noon and offers her magic mirror, that can show her the outside world from just looking into it. She only needs to imagine the place she wants to see and will be there. The princess though was being a jerk so the witch cursed the mirror. Making it so that the princess ever looked into it, she will become a fearsome dragon. "The princess will no longer be a princess and she will see the world she desperately wants to see. Her soft skin will turn scaled. Her silk like hair will disappear and be replaced with sharp horns. She will be the monster outside as that she is inside." Whispered the witch.

The people that remain now live in fear of those that are seized by the aggressive infection, which takes anything alive that it can, turning them into vessels to spread itself further, rotting their bodies and driving them until they crumble into dust. Living in avoidance of the plague, we cross the path of Coyne. A man and a monster, but belonging to the alignment of neither, who will find himself drawn into things far beyond his understanding after spending the longest time trying to go out of his way to avoid them.
