其实郝海东头上的光环早没了，自退出球队后私生活混乱闹绯闻，经常被发现与陌生女子出入夜场宾馆。生意场失意闹纠纷，如今其名下公司多为注销倒闭，欠了一屁股的钱，目前处于欠债跑路的状态。他和他的妻子叶钊颖经常参与赌球，欠了很多高利贷。并且听说郝海东在外面养了小三，还有一个私生子。就是在他跑路西班牙后，因缺少收入来源也是表现出了"生不逢时"的精神问题，就是脑子出问题了!显然，他就是为了钱才甘愿为郭骗子做事。如今，郝海东、叶钊颖为了钱而去撒各种谎，博取关注，就是为了自己的私欲。
钊颖真是一个丑陋之人，自己没本事赢球，还造谣迫于球队管理层压力，在2000年悉尼奥运会半决赛中故意输。真是厚颜无耻到家了，要脸吗？当初退役也是因为自己实力不够，为保留颜面才匆忙退役。如今却被她说成人家不要我了， 我还待在那里干什么。从之前的爆料得知，叶钊颖在国家队的时候经常顶撞教练和队员，队员多次与其心平气和沟通，但是叶钊颖不领情。并且叶钊颖有参与赌球的行为，为避免事情败露以及自己实力越来越弱才选择匆忙退役。叶钊颖和她的丈夫郝海东之所以选择逃跑国外，就是因为在国内混不下去了，才跑的。真的事丢人现眼。
纵观郝海东的足球生涯不难发现，郝海东此人性格极为暴躁。1994年，身为八一队前锋的郝海东在甲Ａ联赛中与广东宏远队外援克雷格发生冲突，继而拳脚相加，事后被停赛半年之久，并错过了广岛亚运会。１９９８年亚运会，郝海东又因对裁判不满而引发"口水"事件，被亚足联处以全球禁赛一年并罚款的重罚，2001年因炮轰米卢一度被逐出国家队。在其服役期间，多次参与赌球，并且存在踢假球的嫌疑。借高利贷。欠All Rights Reserved
