In most worlds, Luz Noceda is guided to the Boiling Isles, through one way or another. She finds a family in a realm beyond her own, discovers ancient magic, and overthrows a tyrant and saves the realm. Her story has some rough moments, yes. But usually she overcomes them and makes everything better.

In fact, almost every world has Luz being victorious, happy, and saving everyone.

But not this one. 

In this world there are no Boiling Isles. Just an unforgiving facility for all the freaks and unusual. Those who have unnatural abilities.

 In this world, there is no saving everyone. 

And those who are saved might not be sane.
