Ivory Rose Mendez takes her vacation at a humble village near the shore named Santa Elena. As a writer herself, she was experiencing writer's block. So in order to begin a new, she wants to take the vacation where she could see the clear skies, feel the cool breeze, and be as one with the calm sea that would somehow probably help her regain her thoughts and ideas to write her piece. Everything was going well until she met a guy. Van was a guy with great looks, nice personality and also has the same interest as Ivy. He admires novels, poems, and other literature related stuff, but the most highlighted of all was his gift of creating such poetic love letters. He considered this his love language, but unlike Ivy who embraces the gift of admiring literature, Van was ashamed to show his interest at those things for everyone thinks that it was lame and he was scared that other people might not befriend him. Just as everything were going complicated with Van's life for he feels like he wasn't his real self at all, he met Ivy and everything just sparked. Who would ever thought that Ivy would also need some love letters to regain her inspiration. Who would ever thought that Van needs some poems to tell him that it's fine to admire what he really wants to admire and there is really nothing to be scared of.

After losing her bodyguard-boyfriend during an ambush, Maddison decided never to agree to having a bodyguard again. She didn't want any more lives to be sacrificed on her account. The pain and guilt of what happened haunted her, and she still blamed herself for the lives lost that night. But with threats continuing to come, her parents decided to strike a deal with her. She wouldn't have multiple security personnel like she used to; instead, she would have only one who would be with her at all times. Left with no choice, she agreed but secretly planned to do everything she could to make that person quit and leave her alone. She thought it would be easy, but when she met Duke Dela Cruz, making him leave seemed to become the hardest thing she'd ever do. The conceited and annoying bodyguard, who swore to protect her with his life, refused to leave no matter how hard she tried to piss him off-even seducing him! But even with the annoyance she felt towards him, love found its way to come between them. Would she let him sacrifice his life, too, just to ensure her safety? Could she endure the pain again if she ever lost him as well?
