All that Shoto had in life was himself. Sure, his sister was nice to have around, but they knew nothing about each other. Natsuo still blamed Endeavor for everything, and even though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, Shoto had overheard his brother ranting about how if Shoto wasn't born, Touya would be alive. He was never home anyways, so it's not like he had to worry about getting into fights with his brother.
When he found out he was going to UA, everything in his life changed. More intense training lessons with his father, and even more training in school. He was worn down to the point he didn't know if he could handle the pressure.
He needed something, someone, to save him.

Touya Todoroki was one of the few guys that didn't shun her because she was from a far away country. He didn't mind her last name which was difficult to pronounce and he certainly didn't care if she was Irish or half Japanese. Infact, he saw her as the most enchanting thing on the face of the earth.
