Sonic has a reputation for successfully completing any request given to him.  However, he is faced with a unique challenge when a mysterious client offers him an irresistible price to kill Amy Rose, the princess of the Emerald Kingdom. As Sonic devises a plan to infiltrate the castle, he notices a poster advertising for a trained and skilled personal guard for the princess.

Sonic who has passed the test is now serving as Amy Rose's guardian. While he waits for the opportune moment to fulfill his duty, he remains unaware that he is gradually developing feelings for her. Not only does Mephiles turn Shadow into a killer hedgehog, he forces him to take out revenge on not only on on Mobians but the entire universe as well. But only Amy Rose is aware of Shadow's illness after witnessing Shadow consuming human and Mobian remains behind a restaurant dumpster. Amy vows to keep Shadow's condition a secret not only for the safety of Sonic and the gang but for the universe...but if G.U.N finds out the ultimate life form and their top agent as dangerous... it could result in him being held captive, being detained against his will and experimented on as long as possible. Despite the life threatening situation, Shadow and Amy's connection grows closer and closer which ultimately leads to them having an affair which eventually leads them to being together, much to the disdain of not only Sonic, but to the entire group, unfortunately, it later becomes a weakness which will give Mephiles a possible one up against the team Will Amy and the rest of the crew find a cure for Shadow's condition or will he forever be Mephiles' murderous puppet?
