The Kingdom of Lapia is strong and unshakable, just like its monarch. But under the surface, King Gabriel is consumed with grief. He masks it well, but this cold demeanor distances him from his son, leaving it Captain Nathalie's job to bring them back together. Having known the king since childhood, this should've been an easy task for the captain of the royal guard. But will the growing threat of the Akumas -a magic-wielding group they'd both cut ties with- make it impossible? Or could this be what reunites the royal family, and, perhaps, reveal buried feelings?
Though surely in this society, a knight could never love her king.

Marinette is falling apart. Chat Blanc haunts her day after day, and she feels like she'll never be able to face him. She's stressed, anxious, and lost from the love in her heart. Adrien is confused. Everything is normal, yet everything is not. He lives through each day, unknowingly finding out more and more about his father, and who he loves. As time goes on, both of them start to find comfort in each other- not for the love they share, but for the comfort they give. Soon, they realize that they've fallen for two people at once, unbeknownst to them that those two are one. What if the answers to their confusion were right underneath their noses? Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place.
