"You are the dumbest boy I have ever met in my life," she responded, frustrated. He stopped walking and stared at her. He was, for lack of a better word, dumbfounded.
"I don't understand," he said with a confused look on his face. Her emotions were getting really hard to keep up with.
"We've been going to school together all our lives," she asserted, her voice growing softer rather than louder. "You're telling me you've never noticed that guys tend to avoid me?" He couldn't help it, He laughed. She just stared at him with a look of disbelief before stalking past him.
He grabbed her wrist. "Charmander," he chided, shaking his head in amusement. "Plenty of guys have wanted to ask you out; you just tend to be unapproachable. They think you're scary."
"Good," she said firmly, crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm fine without a boyfriend."
"Sure," he drawled with a playful grin.
"Fuck off," she grumbled, punching his arm.
