Growing up in Lafayette with her older brother and his red haired friend, Phoebe Isbell learns how to keep up with their reckless ways.

Consequently, she mourns her loss when they are carried away to L.A. by the thralls of life.

Now, years older and grief stricken, Phoebe follows in her life-long partners footsteps and travels to a city that is more appealing in word than reality. However, taking up residence in the glamourized city proves to be rewarding when she finds herself on her brothers doorstep and falling face first in love with a guitarist that is Slash.
