Marianne returns to her hometown to confront and heal family traumas. She thought it would be a simple process: enroll in university, find a new job, and start anew. While driving in the midst of a snowstorm to make it to a job interview, her car decides to break down at the worst possible moment, leaving her stranded in the middle of the snowfall. To make matters worse, a gang of thieves seizes the opportunity to steal all her money. That winter will end up unleashing a whirlwind of unexpected situations, and as Marianne struggles to recover her money, a question keeps repeating in her mind: how is it possible for one of those thieves to end up becoming a tremendous, horrible, and inescapable headache that she can't stop thinking about?
