Loss of faith and purpose have driven Mando and Grogu into the Unknown Regions in search of cover. Din is sent down a new path when he meets a beautiful hermit on an uncharted planet.  Din is distrustful of a woman who claims to remember Grogu from the Jedi Temple, but gives in to Grogu's wishes, and allows her to train his Foundling son.  The peace he finds on The Eye reveals long-buried secrets, and forces him to acknowledge the power rising within him.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy is crumbling under the pressure of Imperial Remnants.  When foes and  refugees come to disturb Din's newfound peace, he must decide whether to turn his back on the Galaxy or to embrace his destiny as a reluctant leader.

The Child's powers are increasing, as is his connection to the people he loves, but the danger only increases as Gideon knows the weaknesses of the civilization he oppressed for so many years... This is what I would like to see in series 2, but I can't wait until Fall 2020. Completed story, posting chapter by chapter as they are edited. [Star Wars] The Mandalorian Season Three Rewrite by Alphaeus_Sune

As a huge fan of the first two seasons of the Mandalorian, I found the more recent third season to be lackluster and disappointing for a few important reasons. While I like the focus on Mandalore, the story forgot to focus on Din Djarin and reunited him with Grogu in between seasons, which is both confusing for casual viewers and makes the season two finale null and void. Where the original season three felt directionless at times, this Din Djarin focused season will take place after both rewrites of the Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka series, however it is not mandatory to read either to understand this season (first two season of Mando OG) The first chapter will take elements of the original BOBF's 'Mando episodes' as well as add a new element at the end, and as a reminder, these chapters will not be very 'fanfiction like' as I have kept as much of the original plot as I can the same while improving what I consider flaws and I give all credit to the original series for most if not all the ideas shown. Lastly, while I like seeing Mando and Grogu together, I think it's important to give characters arcs to grow on, so I hope you enjoy what I have in mind for a third season rewrite, and please share your thoughts as it comes together!
