(Based off AOC and BOTW timelines) When Link first meets the champions, they all get off to a wonderful start- except for with the peculiar Rito, Revali. He's arrogant and cocky, and is constantly making jabs at the silent knight as well as the other Champion's. But the clock's ticking on the time the Champions and the princess have left, meaning Revali and Link will have to. learn to tolerate each other and even create a bond... but getting attached to someone is a danger to the heart, especially when that someone is a brave warrior or Hyrule's savior-- both destined to die at the hands of evil.
But, a story on pause doesn't mean it's over, now does it?
