I'm learning Tagalog in order to speak with my nanay better, so this is mostly writing practice. I heard writing a diary in your target language helps the learning process, so this is what I'm doing :>
Earlier entries will probably be written in Taglish due to me not having a very big vocabulary...

Maraming nagbago simula ng magkasakit ang kanyang papa. Nagkautang ng malaki sa banko ang kanilang pamilya. Halos lahat ng lupa at bahay na naipundar ng kanyang mga magulang ay naghalong para bula. Pero ayus lang ang mahalaga nadugtongan ang buhay ng kanyang papa. Pero pano nga ba kung isang araw magising na lang sila isang umaga na pati ang natitirang bahay at lupa na naipundar ng kanyang mga magulang ay mawawala narin at ang masaklap pa pati ang kanyang ama ay bilang na lang rin ang oras at araw na kanila itong makakasama! Kung kayo ang nasa sitwasyon ko? Bilang anak ano ang kaya ninyong gawin para sa inyong pamilya? Kaya ninyo kayang ipagpalit ang sarili ninyo kalayaan para sa buhay at kasiyahan ng inyong malapit ng mamayapang ama? Kaya ninyo kayang akuin ang mabigat na resposibilidad na kakaharapin na inyong pamilya? Pero kung ako ang tatanungin lahat kaya kung gawin kahit kapalit nito ay ang aking kalayaan.
