Matilda Murphy has been an observer from a far for as long as anyone can remember. She finds herself feeling lonely in the way that she lives her life because of this, her best friend being her single mom. She decides to step out of her comfort zone and join a club just so she could tell her mom something about school other than "it was good".
Eddie Munson has never been one to shy away from making a scene. Slamming his fists, yelling, singing, and standing on tables. He though, was also an observer of sorts, always keeping eyes on the girl he's had a crush on since sixth grade. He finds himself feeling as though he simple going through the motions of life, but things get shaken up a bit one day.

By 19 her toxic rebellion had taken over. Drinking, parties & late nights became the new normal & her obsession with cutting class to smoke on school grounds, found her held back in school & forced to repeat her senior year. She'd even found herself her dream boyfriend... Billy Hargrove. A relationship formed by circumstance and misadventure ended up being everything she ever wanted... until it wasn't. Hawkins saw Billy as the handsome gentleman he'd made himself out to be & only Hopper & Eddie Munson knew what he was really like. He was possessive & controlling & just a total jerk. But Eddie could only standby & watch as his childhood best friend was lost to Billy Hargrove.
