After stumbling upon a magic book in the library, high schoolers Jason, Michael, Summer, and Hailey are transported to the world of Distainia, a fantasy world where the residents each have dragons to protect them. The four kids learn that Distainia is in danger because of the queen of the shadows, Viriux, and they are the only ones who can stop her. Just as the group thinks their adventure is hard enough, their mission is threatened when the queen's nephew, Vixen, starts causing trouble. But through thick and thin, our four heroes and their trusty dragon companion, Lucian, will keep on fighting until they're strong enough to face the queen.

Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted.
