On the island of Dumais, a baby was sent across the sea as her homeland was engulfed by war. A woman, rather a mother, traveled with the baby girl. The two sailed across stormy seas before landing on an island called Berk. This island is were the baby grew and found herself with mixed feelings for the dragon beast and for a certain boy, rather the Chiefs son. Only things don't turn out the way she thought after that one night.

"They've caused me so much suffering. How can I trust them? Have Berkians actually change? Can dragons and Vikings actually coexist after years upon years of violence?" These are the questions Ember Druman asks herself when she meets Hiccup Haddock and her entire live is flipped upside down. Will the Vikings convince her that Vikings have actually changed?
