The sky was pale blue, but she saw it black. There was lush green grass, but they were dead to her. The birds chirped their late morning songs, but all she heard was silence. The warm wind enveloped her, but she felt cold to the core. There were no clouds to shadow the summer day, yet she was lost in darkness.
Dawn has to face a completely new environment, live with a depressed father who she never really had a close relationship with, and most greatly, the loss of her beloved mother, all at once. But she meets a boy, Wolf. But he's no ordinary boy. Definitely not your average Abercrombie & Fitch model kind of guy...

While working in the library one day,Dawn suddenly fall's off of the ladder and to her surprise,somebody catche's her on time before she fall's to her death. When she turn's to see who saved her,she notice's that it's a young man who was the one who saved her,but to Dawn,she feel's like his embrace and touch feel's so familiar to her. What did he mean to her? What will happen between these two? Why did he feel familiar to her? Oh,i made my very own book cover if you all didn't know that as it was my first time ever editing one. Bang! I sat bolt upright. Did I imagine that? That noise? What was it? I clambered out of bed and almost fell down the stairs with the panic that had set in. My front door was wide open but nobody was there, the wood was just swinging in the doorway allowing the cool breeze in my house. What if somebody was already inside? I hopped over the living room sofa, to climb the stairs yet again and as I made it to the landing I was thrown into the wall. My body pinned against it with a muscled form shadowing mine. A hand placed over my mouth silenced my screams that I was too scared to let out anyway. "I'm not going to hurt you. Just don't scream." It was Colton. His husky voice was a distinct reminder that he was my mate. The tingles that spread through my body made me hate but love the entire situation. I want him closer. "You don't run away from me, understand?" I nodded, he was really close to me and my wolf purred for him to be closer. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind as he slowly removed his hand. "What do you want?" I demanded, making the futile attempt to shove him away though he didn't move an inch. "I want what is mine." He replied with a low growl that sent chills up my spine. My back was still pressed firmly against the wall and I think I was in shock to move. Though I felt safe which made me feel sick, how could I be safe in the presence of him? "No." I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. "No?" He repeated my words back to me and I boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. My mum said tea fixes everything, then again it never fixed her relationship. "You heard me." "I heard you clear. I'm just making sure you're happy with that answer before I make you regret it." Colton advanced forward, pure dread taking over my body at the size of him compared to me. He leaned forward so his lips were against my ear and with a soft tone he whispered. I finally escaped the factory, they kidnapped me from my college. Today is my birthday, and I had planned for it but nothing helped, only calming me down for the moment. My breathing becoming short again, a panic attack was on the verge. A hand was now on my shoulder and another on my cold cheek, making me look into his eyes, "Let me help you..." He whispered. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his.
