Neonatal Diabetes is a rare type of genetic disease that's often gets confused with Type 1 diabetes. However, Neonatal Diabetes occurs to infants within their first 6 months of their lives, while Type 1 diabetes generally occurs after 6 months of age. Infants suffering from Natal Diabetes fail to produce enough insulin and as a result the level of blood glucose increases.
