Cliftin took the chocolate out of my hands, then he pulled my palms to his chest.

"You can search me if you like?"

"Are you trying to be smug?"

"It's just an offer, Detective?

I hoped off the basin.

I placed my hands firmly on his chest, feeling his muscles I just saw. Heat flashed my cheeks.

My hands sprawled the rest of his body, from under his arms to his hips. My hands reached for every inch of him with much too much greed, hunger and thirst.

As I bent down, he took my chin with the tips of his fingers and made me look at him.

He leaned in and whispered in my ear, "Did you keep our little promise alive?"
