It's been five years since Buck called things off with Eddie. Now called back to L.A. as an alumni of the 118 Firehouse, for a ceremony to celebrate Eddie's promotion to chief, Buck finds himself once more drawn to the man he once loved. The man he still loves. Pulling Buck aside after the ceremony, Eddie tells him that he wants to pick up where they left off. But Buck has changed in the five years they've been apart, and it's clear that Eddie has too. Both determined to give their relationship another shot, they must learn to be with each other again, what they mean to each other now, and the uncertainties that plague them. Buck must make the most important decision of his life, and decide whether or not he can be a parent to Eddie's son.
Buck nodded to Eddie to accept the coffee, and then realization hit. His smile dropped and he stared ahead. This is really happening. Eddie is leaving. He looked at all the houses on display in his hands. He was going to be left all alone. The sting he felt in his chest, felt even deeper than when Tommy dumped him.
