Is This the End?

I was at my local mall when the world went to shit. But no one noticed right away. I was with my boyfriend, Avery, watching a movie when the screen just turned off. We didn't think anything of it, the people that work there came out and said the movie theatre was having some technical difficulties and we would all get refunds so we left to walk around.

My name is Caroline, my boyfriend Avery and I are now running from God knows what. We are in his jeep with a baby boy named Tyler and running from some people or things called Laisons. We will not back down, we are looking for people who have also gotten away, people that also haven't been chipped. But what then, is this the end of the world?
