like all other young people, Nicola is eager to find if she's one of the few with super blood. if not, she'll remain human for the rest of her life. if she is a hero, then she'll get the ability to attend a school for supers only. however in the town she was born into, all supers are killed at discovery. All of discovery's have been made on the 13th birthday. With one exception.
Her grandmother received her gift at 12. her parents are both human, and they hope the same for their daughter. although she could die either way. the testing methods have a history of eliminating a few humans by mistake. this year, a new system is in place, and no one knows what to expect. Will she run away for safety despite not knowing her future? will she be human? what do the other towns think of supers? what exactly happened to her grandmother?

Kara paced the bathroom floor. Something had made her choose to do this, but she didn't know what. She continued to pace for three minutes until the timer went off. Once it did she raced into the kitchen and grabbed the test on her sink. She turned it over and saw the words PREGNANT, sprawled on the screen. "I-i can't be!" Kara said to herself. Seconds later her door flew open, causing her to hid the test and turn. "Oh it's just you, Lena you scared me" Kara said. She had tears in her eyes but refused to let them fall. - After a drunk slip up with Lena, Kara ends up pregnant with her child. Before Kara has a chance to tell her, Lena ends their friendship after finding out the truth of Kara's identity. Kara leaves National City without telling a soul about the baby or about Lena . When Lena finds out she makes Kara move in with her for the remaining months of her pregnancy. 'No, he didn't'. I was so shocked by the turn of events. Everything was going fine and then suddenly boom, everything turned upside down. I just couldn't believe this. What did he think of himself? 'Leave me alone.' I said firmly but his hold on me was so strong. I was struggling to get out of his bear hold but to no avail. 'Oh!! So, the poor lady thinks that I will leave her alone and just let her go free?' He had that evil laugh and boy, his breath stank. 'Man, you just signed your death warrant and I will do one favour on you.' No one messes with me. 'Ooooh, I am so scared that I almost peed my pants.' Again that idiotic laugh. I counted till 5 and then kicked right in his balls. I turned around and grabbed his hair from roots, jerked them so badly and then gave my hard elbow shot on his chin. Everything happened so fast for one moment he was standing and the other lying on floor wiggling. I charged at him with my cheetah speed, picked up a wooden rod and started hitting him wildly, 'You idiotic stinky breath was trying to steal my backpack. You are so dead.' 'Favour, favour, favour.' He was screaming in pain just after few seconds and was panting hard. I picked my paste from my bag and threw at him, 'Brush your teeth.' I was fuming. I turned around and saw him standing wide-eyed, 'Hi, I am Scarlett.' I smiled showing my 32 teeth. 'I am scared.' His look puzzled me. They put on shows to use their powers and learn to control them. They even have some fangirl moments. I mean what good is a story without the main character being a fangirl.
