Branch is going to a new school where he'll meet new people like the over sensitive Biggie, the friendly Cooper, the creative DJ Suki, the rock and roll Barb, and of course the happiest of them all, the beautiful Poppy! He'll also have to deal with the schools rivals, the bergans. Face to face with true love. Self discovery, creating his path, and believing in himself! Typical high school stuff. If high school films were real, that is.
Life isn't simple. It's complex, painful, with twists and turns and a surprise at every corner. Very awful surprises, like being isolated by your family. Being left at an orphanage. Being judged by the color of your skin, where you're from and for your disabilities. Or you can be judged for simply who you love. But it can have good surprises. Like finding loyal friends, a family, and true love. Sometimes, life has a bright side that can lead to finding happiness.
