What is the IIoT?
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) refers to the use of intelligent sensors and actuators to enhance manufacturing and industrial operations. Making the most of the data that "dumb machines" have been producing in industrial settings for years, IIoT, also known as Industry 4.0 or the industrial internet, uses real-time analytics and smart equipment. The fundamental premise of IIoT is that smart machines are superior to people in data collecting, real-time analysis, and communicating crucial information that can be used to make business decisions more rapidly and accurately.
