In the heart of a small town, Minju found herself nursing wounds that were far deeper than the ones she attended to in her third year of medical school. The end of a five-year relationship had left her feeling adrift, struggling to mend not just her broken heart, but her shattered sense of self. To make ends meet and find a source of distraction, her part-time job at Cosy Cub Cafe was all she needed. Until a girl barges in. A girl she has never seen around the small town. She went by the name, Yujin. The only reason why she never left Minju's mind was the fact that she ordered a coffee. At midnight. During closing. As time passes, she realises Yujin was someone who chooses to live in the present, despite being haunted by her own past. Something Minju found difficult moving away from. Soon enough, Yujin finds herself bringing Minju along with her, away from yesterday and towards an uncertain yet exciting tomorrow. However, it's never easy doing so. In a world that felt just a little unrealㅡlike a moment lifted from an old filmㅡJisu found herself caught in something delicate and dangerous. It wasn't just love. It was something more complicated, something shadowed. When Ryujin entered her life, she didn't make a scene. She simply appeared, calm and certain, like something that had always been meant to happen. There was something about herㅡbeautiful, distant, and almost fragileㅡthat made it impossible to look away. Both women bore the invisible scars of their pasts, the kind that linger in silences and sharpen the edges of smiles. And yet, they shone. There was a brilliance in themㅡquiet, defiantㅡlit by the kind of strength born only from surviving the dark. Drawn together by unseen forces, they moved as if led by a gravity deeper than choice, pulled not by reason but by something far more human: hope. But love, like music, insists on motion. With each tentative step, they found themselves edging closer to the thorns buried beneath their memories. The rhythm of emotion pressed on, a haunting refrain echoing through the fragile space between them. And still, the question hung in the air like smoke from a long-burned flameㅡcould they outrun the echoes of what had come before, or would the past tear apart the delicate thing they had dared to build? *** Book 1: Roses and Thorns (Completed) Book 2: Poisoned Flowers (Ongoing)
