Many might see death and its companions (e.g. grief, depression etc.) as harmful experiences in life. But this story tries to tackle this perception and recount a story that portrays my view of death as an old friend that pays his visits not because he enjoys seeing you die, but because he cares about your transition. After all, life is what's killing us, death is just the observer, one that cares more about you than you might expect.

Being drowned on your way to work wasn't what you expected, and meeting the first man with his stoic subordinate in Heaven was even less so. You needed- No. Wanted a job. And somehow that landed you to end up as Adam's assistant, now being told to "stick it to the man and write shit down," during meetings. As his so‑called right‑hand hustler, you start witnessing things that feel more and more questionable by the day. The longer you stay beside him and Lute, the clingier and possessive they become. Adam keeps warning you about Lucifer, calling him a slithery fuck and insisted that you stay far away from the fallen angel at all cost. Not that you had a choice. What happens after death? Hana was always told that hell was horrible. But she was not expecting what she found, definitely not a staircase that went to heaven. She filled in love with two men.
