The Curse of the Red Eyes

I fled from my circus of a household in the middle of a beautiful and windy spring night three weeks before I stumbled upon Yaga. Nobody could blame me for being a neglectful child, because I left them on the kitchen table a nicely written 'fuck you all' note, so I believe they could surely feel how much I appreciated them from my message.

"Did you run away from your family?"

"If me saving myself from their continuous abuse count as running away, then yeah, I did," I replied sourly. "I escaped before they could tame me completely and make me a soulless puppet, who has no choice but to obey any kind of order."

There were a few seconds of heavy silence before he said anything to me.

And then he made an offer I couldn't refuse.
