When I lay down and close my eyes, I see. I see Miami outside my window in all its bright, sunny glory. The palm trees so tall, the grass so full, the sea so calm. It all feels so yellow. But when I open my eyes, all I hear is chaos. Waves crashing wildly, tires screeching along the asphalt, my daughter wailing in the next room. The sun is blocked; there's no more yellow. The air feels stiff. It's blue, so blue. All Rights Reserved
