Charlie is tired. Of life and of people:

"I don't know who I am anymore." I whisper looking out towards the bleak cliff. It beckons me and I walk, slowly, up the cliff. The rocks all look the same shade of gray. Devoid of color, meaning, life. I reach the top. Teetering, I look off the edge into the pleasant abyss. Closing my eyes and breathing a sigh of relief, I fall.

Brittany's struggling with mental health problems while having to keep up her happy face:

"Sometimes I wish I didn't have to hide behind this mask." I can feel the tears falling down my face. I let out a sob. I don't think I can take this anymore. It's all too much. I just... I can't take it. I can't be as perfect as I should be. I'm a fucking failure. If only, if only I was perfect. I could do it. just not be a failure. I can't do it this time though. I walk over to the river. The water ebbs and gos. I lay, flat on my back with the cool, smooth water flowing over me.
