Evan Rosier doesn't believe in rumors or stories without any proof. So when he's told about the rumors surrounding a shack within hogsmeade he doesn't believe them.

Even more so when he hears the tale about a spirit that only appears during a full moon, he's positive the stories are all lies.

He broke Remus and his own heart, and as his world is slowly crumbling around him, he has to pick it all back up again single handed. After pulling "the prank" against Snape in his fifth year, he doesn't realize how much his actions would hurt Remus and he can't stop them until it's much too late to do anything about it.
