Super•Villainous
"I've been looking for you." There was an unexpected rasp to his voice, a hint of desperation. He stretched out one hand, as if to brush it across my cheek, or perhaps wrap it around my throat. Oddly enough, I didn't know which option frightened me more. *+*+*+* Lily Burdett has an unfortunate gift for getting herself into tricky situations, but her luck is especially bleak the day she finds herself in the destructive path of the city's premier supervillain. When he grabs ahold of her, she reacts without thinking and stabs him twice in the shoulder, only surviving the encounter thanks to a nearby hero who intervenes on her behalf. Red X: Reborn
Terrance Waller spent most of his life running-running from foster homes that couldn't handle him, from violence that never left his knuckles and from the ghost of a father who vanished under classified circumstances. But no matter how far he runs, one name is always closely behind: Amanda Waller. His aunt. His enemy. The woman who turned his father into a weapon and now seems hellbent on pulling him into the same shadow war. When Terrance uncovers the remains of Project Gemini-a sentient prototype suit built to sync with its user's thoughts and instincts, he doesn't find closure. He finds something worse: a purpose. The suit doesn't just respond to him. It accepts him. And suddenly, Terrance isn't running anymore. He's stepping into the war his father died trying to escape.
