Behind the clock. In the walls. An intelligent civilization thrives. Shel and Avid, used to be best friends haven't seen each other after an influential fight. Shelly is a minute hand manager, Avid, works on the gears. But when a mission is sent out to find new gatherers, the bravest of all of the clock people, Avid is chosen. On one of his missions for food, he is captured. Shelly has to chose: abandon everything and save her friend, or keep the life she has known for so long.
