Ed's Early Years. Life on the farm

I was raised in the mountains of northern New York State. We lived on a lake front farm settled in the mid seventeen hundreds by my family. The cornerstone was dated 1744. Generations of Deckers lived in the large farmhouse, with its massive wood beams and giant hearth. The structure was raised without nails. Back then they used pegging to tie everything together.
