A sailor has a fateful meeting with a water dragoness who saves him from drowning. Indebted to this dragoness for saving his life, he falls deeply in love with everything about her. The sight of her swimming majestically through the water, it opens his eyes to a whole new world of beauty. Seeing this new world of clarity and joy, he sets out to create the most beautiful art, to swoon her heart with.
That includes researching the ways of dragon magic, something that the dragons jealously coveted, and for good reason......
The dragons eventually found out what he had been doing, and regarded the powers he had gained with fear and uncertainty. Before he could confess his love to the dragoness that had changed his world, they sealed him away, and cursed him to remain fighting in a dark tormented abyss, forever separated from the water he loved.
Many, many, many years pass until one day, someone stumbles across his ancient tomb.
This is where the story begins.........
